same fish breeder but multiplayer

Duel a friend live

You both play the same song at the same moment, then swap results. It works best on a call or in a chat you both have open.

The host (the player who invites)

  1. Tap Duels › Create.
  2. Pick your fish. Its pedigree counts in the score, so pick your best.
  3. Pick a difficulty: Easy, Medium, Hard or Extreme.
  4. Under Start, pick In 1 min (or In 2 min if your friend needs more time).
  5. Tap Make the code, then Share (or Copy and paste it into your chat).
  6. Tap Play. A countdown runs until the start time.

The guest (the friend who joins)

  1. Copy the whole D- code from the chat.
  2. Tap Duels › Join and paste it in the box. You see the host's fish and when the song starts.
  3. Pick your fish and tap Play. Your countdown ends at the same moment as the host's.

Both players, when the song ends

  1. Your end screen shows your score and an R- result code. Tap Share and send it to your rival.
  2. Paste your rival's R- code in the box under it and tap Who won?

The score is how well you played times your fish's pedigree, so a better-bred fish can win a close duel.

Play a duel later

If your friend can't play right now, make an any-time duel: each of you plays whenever you like and you swap results afterwards.

  1. Host: Duels › Create, pick your fish and difficulty, and under Start pick Any time.
  2. Host: Make the code, send it, and tap Play whenever you like.
  3. Guest: Duels › Join, paste the code, pick a fish and Play.
  4. Each of you sends your R- result code when you finish.
  5. Whoever gets a result later opens Duels › History, finds the duel, pastes the code and taps Who won?

A live duel whose start time has passed also turns into an any-time duel: the guest just plays it when they open it.

Send and receive a fish

A fish code gives your friend a copy of your fish, genes and all, so they can breed it with their own line. You keep yours.

To send

  1. Tap the fish in your tank (or open it from Hall).
  2. Scroll down and tap Share fish.
  3. Tap Share (or Copy) and send the F- code.

To receive

  1. Copy the whole F- code.
  2. Tap Duels › Trade and paste it. You see the fish, its species and generation.
  3. Tap Receive. The fish joins your Hall of Fame as a breeder: it takes no tank slot and is ready to pair in Breed.

Each fish code works once per player. A received fish keeps its genes but does not count toward unlocking hybrids: that still takes your own lines.

Share a photo of your fish

  1. Open the fish and tap Photo. The game makes a portrait card (1080 × 1350, the Instagram post size) with its name, species, generation, pedigree and rarity.
  2. Tap Share to send it to any app on your phone, or Download to save the file.
  3. If neither works inside the itch.io page, long-press the picture (right-click on a computer) and choose Save image.

Tips for sending codes

  • Send the whole code, prefix included. D-, R- and F- tell the game what the code is.
  • Dashes, spaces and capitals don't matter. d-4xfya tt80d works the same as D-4XFYA-TT80D, and a letter O typed for a zero is read as 0.
  • One wrong letter is caught. Every code has a check built in, so a typo shows an error instead of a different song or fish. Copying beats retyping.
  • Any chat app works: WhatsApp, Discord, Telegram, a text message. Send the code as plain text, not as a screenshot.
  • Live duels need the clock right. Both devices should have automatic date and time turned on; the song starts at the same clock time on each.
  • Rewards: a duel pays league points and coins once, to each player, for up to 5 duels a day. Win 3 points, tie 2, loss 1.
  • Codes don't expire. Old duels stay in History (the last 12), so you can paste a late result days later.
